Fairytale and army-inspired looks open Milan fashion week
A kaleidoscopic fairy tale by Prada and Fay’s military-inspired looks started out Milan’s womenswear style show on Wed with a display of garments and components for summer 2017.
For the next six days the French capital of style will be the setting for driveway shows, art events, store opportunities and events as fashionistas, customers, developers and blog writers head to the city from around the world.
In Gucci’s miracle lamps selection, padded and beautiful outfits, silver designs and outfits echoing a hippy style took center stage. Mythical beasts, jam fish and birds designed layers and outfits and two zebras was standing on a big lemon fur cover.
To the defeat of melancholic violins, designs strutted down an appeared and candy striped light red rug in a former train place clothed up in metal light red panelling.
Many used glittered cups or complex fascinators and turbans, with studded systems on their feet, in innovative developer Alessandro Michele’s 4th women’s selection since being hired in Jan last year.
“In this selection all the outfits tell a tale rich in wonder, phantasmagoria and unorthodoxy,” read a producer’s note.
