Shahid Afridi opening match in BBL
Back in the cricket season 2011-12 Shahid Afridi traveled to Australia to play the Big Bash League. He played the whole event for the Melbourne Renegades. Afridi was handy with his bowling and batting. He gave some good moments to his side.
Shahid Afridi first innings with the bat was a failure. He could not get into double figures. He hit most of his shots for singles. There was one double run shot and then only one four. There was no other boundary hit from the big man.
Afridi opened his account by hitting the ball to mid-on and get a single. This ball was pitched around his pads and Afridi hit it through the line and opened his account. The next hit was on the leg side that give Afridi a couple of runs.
This ball was again onto his pads and Afridi hit this one square on the leg side. Then came the big shot. Afridi could not time this one but the ball still managed to reach the fence. This hit was not timed well. It was an outside that had enough power in it to get to the boundary and cross it as well. Afridi then got out after this one. He hit the ball straight to long off. Botha took his catch.
