Shahid Afridi skipping today’s training session due to high fever
Captain of Pakistan national cricket team for T20 matches, Shahid Afridi is skipping today’s practice session at Eden Gardens Calcutta due to high fever, media reports revealed.
Shahid Afridi being player and as a captain is facing high critique now days, again Afridi is not in good news. Media authorities has confirmed that captain Afridi is not taking part in training session of upcoming mega India Pakistan match due to high temperature.
Though nothing regarding the problem had been said formally, resources said Afridi is not seriously ill and would be fit in a chance to play Pakistan Bangladesh match held tomorrow.
Waqar Younis the head coach of Pakistan cricket team also talked regarding Afridi’s sickness and said he expected the skipper would be prepared before Pakistan’s starting T20 activity against Bangladesh.
“Bangladesh has performed excellent cricket over the last one season and we are optimistic of providing an excellent efficiency against them,” said Afridi.
Pakistan is placed in Group B of the ICC Globe Twenty20 Tournament with heavyweights Indian, Sydney, Bangladesh and New Zealand. The natural tops take on Indian in a much-anticipated conflict on Goal 19 at Kolkata.
Afridi had courted debate during the last few times after he had said at a media meeting that ‘Pakistani team had obtained more really like in Indian than in Pakistan’.
