We delayed to make changes in squad – Shehryar Khan
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairperson Shehryar Khan has belittled the team´s performance at the Asia Cup and said it was too late for making changes in the squad before World Twenty20. He said authorities are not allowed to make any changes in the squad before 30 days to the world cup.
The 2009 world cup shaheens remained unsuccessful in defeating traditional rival India and the host team Bangladesh in Asia Cup 2016, however, the national team has managed to get over UAE but unluckily get out of the tournament due to low scoring points.
Shehryar said everyone from the instructor to those in the process would be linked but involved there would not be given any relaxation next time and team should perform well.
“It wasn´t just a case of disappointment but it was an agonizing experience to look at Pakistan execute like that,” Shehryar advised media in Lahore.
“The performance was very insufficient, other than a few individuals´, but I can ensure that liability is inevitable and whoever is responsible for such upset is answerable including all players and team management, “Changes are required in the electoral process and control but we have to sit and think wisely” Khan added.
